EntSun News/10813261
An 'Eggcellent' Festival to get your Flicks on Route 66! See Southern Fried Chicks (CMT) National Comedian, Impressionist and Actress, Sonya White perform on Sunday! She's also hosting the Award Show!
MIAMI, Okla. - EntSun -- The 3rd Annual Sunny Side Up Film Festival (SSUFF) is pleased to present a family fun weekend and unique film festival experience. It'll be at the Coleman Theatre, who is also co-hosting the event, located at 103 N. Main St. Miami, Oklahoma.
The festival begins Friday, March 20th, from 4pm to 10pm. Films will screen and there will be Q&A sessions with filmmakers throughout each day. The festival continues Saturday March 21st from 10am to 10pm. The final day is Sunday March 22nd from 10am to 6:15pm.
National Comedian, Impressionist & Actress Sonya White will perform at 6:30pm on Sunday. She combines Southern charm with city-wise street smarts to create a show that won her multiple appearances on Star Search (CBS), promo spots on Last Comic Standing (NBC), featured role and national tour in Southern Fried Chicks (CMT), nomination for 'Best Female Performer' by Campus Activities Magazine, appearance on 'Girls Behaving Badly' (Oxygen), on 'Comedy Spotlight Roadtrip' (Comcast), and performances at the 'U.S. Comedy Arts Festival' (HBO, E!, Comedy Central). "We have films that are local and from all over," said Festival Director Brenda Whitehead. "Our film selections are excellent again this year. We're also excited to have our first world premiere film. It's titled 'Five of Spades'---a western genre film. What makes it more interesting, is because it's a collection of five vignettes", she said.
Many great films will screen such as "Lord Finn", "In Sickness & in Health", "Winfield Historical Times...and other Oddities", "Dragon Song", "Bequest", "The Tiny House Movie", "Letters for Anniston", "Bill Tilghman and the Outlaws", "Sparky and Butch", "Prone to Violence", "Amber and Grace, "Assisted Living", "Love Lives in a Void", "Smile", "128 Day's", "Miss Happy", "The Fisherman" and "Helen's Birthday"----just to name a few. There is over sixty indie films and thirty screenplay finalist. See the full list, with synopsis at http://www.brenrockproductions.com/SSUFF-2020-Selections.html
The festival will be the first event at the Coleman held following an upgrade of its sound system. "Through our '90 for 90′ campaign, we have raised enough money to get new speakers and a soundboard — state-of-the-art — like all of the acts that come through ask for, which will provide better quality all around the theatre," Coleman managing director Danny Dillon said."
