Big Panic Records Announces "African Sunshine" by Believe, Shirley Jones & Omasta

ATLANTA - EntSun -- ATLANTA, GA — Big Panic Records announces the immediate availability of "African Sunshine," a transatlantic, multi-generational collaboration orchestrated by Atlanta-based emcee and producer BELIEVE. The single, which pairs the classic soul and underground hip-hop with live European jazz, debuted this week at #4 on the Apple Music and iTunes UK charts.

The Sonic Architecture

• The Vocal Anchor: The track features a masterclass lead performance by legendary vocalist Shirley Jones of The Jones Girls. Known globally for her work with Gamble & Huff's Philadelphia International Records—including the rare groove staples "Nights Over Egypt" and "Who Can I Run To" —Jones delivers the same commanding vocal mastery that propelled her solo anthem "Do You Get Enough Love" to #1 on the Billboard R&B charts.
• Live Instrumentation: Moving away from static digital samples and loops, the record features live brass and warm Rhodes progressions by Krakow's premier jazz-funk quintet, Omasta.
• The Production: Serving as both producer and lyricist, Believe anchors the track with his signature sonic architecture and hard-hitting boom-bap cadences. An ambitious undertaking of his own design, the track is the culmination of multiple recording sessions in Europe, Detroit and Atlanta to craft an entirely unique cross-cultural masterpiece.

Global Momentum "African Sunshine" builds on a foundation of international cultural exchange. Following the release of the "BELIEVE RADIO" LP and the expansive 2026 European "Block Party Tour," this release serves as a perfect bridge between the U.S. hip-hop and Classic R&B scenes and the explosive contemporary Polish jazz renaissance.
