Houston Gospel Music Coalition Now Accepting Submissions For Music Video and Film Festival

HOUSTON - March 6, 2019 - EntSun -- Submissions are now being accepted for the Houston Gospel Music Coalition Music Video and Film Festival. Faith-based, inspirational film and music video makers can vie for a chance to have their works screened and be eligible for cash and awards, in our 2019 film festival. Entries opened March 4, through Film Freeway and will remain open until October 1, 2019.

The second annual HG Music Video and Film Festival will convene over three days on the campus of Texas Southern University, 3100 Cleburne St., Houston, TX, 77004. The event will take place at the Barbara Jordan, Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs Building, Thursday, November 21 – Saturday, November 23, 2019.  This state-of-the-art, first class facility provides smart classrooms and the latest in multimedia technology, which lends a perfect backdrop for live music video and movie screenings, industry forums, an awards ceremony and opening reception.

Categories include: Music Videos, Feature Films, Shorts, Documentaries, Student and Women Filmmakers. First-time filmmakers are strongly encouraged to submit works as well.

HGMVFF is a celebration of the robust, creative and emerging nexus of local and national faith based, independent film and music video producers. It will offer a showcasing of quality, Christ-centered, inspiring original works produced by creative, passionate independent film, gospel music producers and visual storytellers.

HGMVFF is the film division of Houston Gospel Music Coalition, an affiliate organization of the Texas Gospel Music Coalition. President and Festival Director, Catherine Dorsey's vision is to develop this platform as an expansion of what HGMC does an organization to propel gospel music and independent artists, in conjunction with the network of media outlets and radio announcers who play their music. About Houston Gospel Music Coalition (HGMC):

The Houston Gospel Music Coalition (formerly Houston Gospel Announcers Guild) is one of five affiliates of a statewide gospel music organization the Texas Gospel Music Coalition, Inc.
