BayView Entertainment spotlights the story of wildlife proponent Matthew Todd Proposki, who bounces back after a stroke incapacitates his brother/colleague while documenting the raising of wild wolf cubs

POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. - EntSun -- Film Distributor BayView Entertainment is proud to announce the release of The Last Howl, now available on finer streaming video platforms.

This compelling documentary details the plight of wild wolves as they face danger from both treacherous weather conditions and wolf culling alike. The latter practice, sanctioning the hunting and killing of wolves under the premise of controlling their population, is evaluated and challenged while the beautiful process of wolf pups coming of age is highlighted.

An additional layer parallels the theme of brotherhood and what it means to carry on when your best friend and colleague must move on. The true-life story of Matt Proposki and his brother Troy captivates viewers as they do all they can to raise the wild wolf cubs. In the process, the trials and triumphs of the wolf siblings are shown, and the emotional weight of those relationships is honored.

In 2004, Wildlife Filmmaker Matt Paproski and his brother Troy gave the world a behind-the-scenes look at documentary filmmaking as they raised the first wolf pup for the first season of their TV series, Wildlife Wranglers. However, things took a turn when Troy suffered a stroke, putting him in a wheelchair and forcing him to leave the project. After a four-year hiatus, Matt's adventure began anew, as he set out to start over on his own with a second pup named "Aurora," rescued from a fur farm.

This epic wildlife documentary took twenty years and evolved into a unique story meshing the importance of both wildlife conservation and inclusiveness of people with disabilities. Matt's journey along with those of the wolves will resonate with viewers who ever faced an uphill climb. Feeling loss, institutional scrutiny, and financial hardship, Matt carries on alone driven by his bond with the animals. It's a powerful story of resilience, family, and devotion to the wild… and just as he hits the home stretch, Troy returns to take up the cause once more.
