Composer Jaime Cardona Wins Suncoast Emmy Award for Hope: Puerto Rico Documentary

MIAMI - Dec. 4, 2018 - EntSun -- Jaime Cardona, composer and President of Red Squid Studios based in Miami, FL won the Suncoast Emmy Award for Music/Composition/Arrangement for the short documentary 'Hope: Puerto Rico' on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the 42^nd Annual Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards in Orlando, Florida.  Hope documents the aftermath of the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the relief aid raised and transported to Puerto Rico by members of the entertainment industry in South Florida immediately following the hurricane.

"I am grateful to the Suncoast Emmy's for this prestigious award.  I would also like to thank my wife and business partner Alejandra Arango of Red Squid Studios, Epic In Motion and Trinitus Productions for coming together to co-produce this important work which documents the destruction in Puerto Rico caused by Hurricane Maria and the relief efforts by members of the entertainment industry in South Florida to raise and transport aid in support of many of our colleagues, coworkers and peers who are Puerto Rican," stated Jaime Cardona.

Epic In Motion, Trinitus Productions and Red Squid Studios co-produced the award winning short documentary entitled "Hope: Puerto Rico" documenting multiple trips transporting relief aid to Puerto Rico and highlighting the tragic desperation of those seeking medical attention. The trips were spearheaded by producer Natalia Denegri in partnership with the Hassenfeld Family Foundation, part of the Hasbro family.  Local nonprofit organizations came together along with celebrities like Adamari López, Carlos Ponce and Johnny Lozada to organize relief drives and deliver the aid to Puerto Rico.

Hope: Puerto Rico was produced from inception to pre-production, development, music composition, sound editing and all post production at the state of the art Red Squid Studios in Miami, Florida.

Jaime Cardona was also nominated at the 42^nd Annual Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards 2018 in the following Craft Achievement categories:
