LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Best-Selling children's author, Paolo Mazzucato, takes readers on a journey through Irish folklore and mythology in his contemporary adventure tale, The Time Makers. The book will launch at the Orange County Children's Book Festival in Costa Mesa, California, on September 20, before its general release on September 22. The middle-grade novel is available at BepiBooks.com, Amazon and other bookstores.
While the story's fantasy, adventure, and humor is written to appeal to young readers, the story also explores themes about the worth we place on time itself, and whether "time is only valuable because it doesn't last." A young boy, eager to be "grown up" has to team up with his mother when a birthday package from his father, who disappeared seven years ago under mysterious circumstances, calls them to an adventure into the mythic land of Tír na nÓg, the land where time stands still. "At its heart," Mazzucato explains, "is a tale of family—learning to work together through fantastic challenges and personal discoveries to stand united against whatever peril might arise and attempt to defeat them."

The Black List calls the story "…a delightfully crafted middle-grade, ordinary-boy-tasked-with-magical-journey tale told through Irish fables and lore," and says "the writer does a wonderful job building the world of the story, both…on 'this side' and the vibrant world of Tír na nÓg on the 'other side.'
Paolo Mazzucato will attend the festival for book signings at table AC12 where his other books including The Gondoliers: The Secret Journals of Fanticulous Glim, and AJ and the Incredible Fish will also be available, along with a selection of his most popular children's picture and storybooks.
