VIMooZ Cinema Gives Independent Filmmakers a New Way to Distribute and Monetize Their Films
EntSun News/11104395
Filmmakers worldwide can now self-distribute and monetize their work without giving up rights.
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Independent filmmakers worldwide now have a new way to bring their work directly to audiences without giving up rights or relying solely on traditional distribution.
VIMooZ Cinema, a new independent film self-distribution and monetization platform launched in New York City, is now open to filmmakers worldwide. The platform allows creators to self-distribute films of varying lengths, from shorts to full-length features, and generate revenue through video on demand (VOD), DVD and Blu-ray sales, and film-related merchandise.
Viewers can watch films on Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku. Audience access is currently available in the United States and Canada, with additional regions launching soon.
The platform is non-exclusive, allowing filmmakers to distribute their work through other platforms and channels at the same time. There is also no fixed distribution term, giving creators the flexibility to pause or remove their films at any time.
"Independent filmmakers invest an extraordinary amount of time, talent and resources into bringing their stories to life, but getting those films in front of paying audiences can still be one of the most difficult parts of the process," said Terry Proctor, co-founder and CEO of VIMooZ Cinema. "We created VIMooZ Cinema to give filmmakers another path, one where they can take greater control of distribution, maintain ownership of their work and create opportunities to earn from the films they make."

"We believe a filmmaker's opportunity to reach an audience shouldn't end because a film wasn't selected by a festival or picked up through a traditional distribution deal," Proctor added. "There are talented filmmakers and compelling stories all over the world. Our goal is to provide another avenue for those stories to be discovered, watched and supported."
VIMooZ Cinema also expands filmmakers' revenue opportunities beyond streaming. Print-on-demand allows DVD, Blu-ray, and film-related merchandise to be produced when customers place orders, reducing the need for filmmakers to pay upfront and store inventory in advance.
By bringing digital viewing, physical media and merchandise together, VIMooZ Cinema gives independent filmmakers multiple ways to generate revenue from their work.
