Tickets On Sale Now for Chilling Horror-Thriller, 'One Eye Open'

POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. - EntSun -- Film Distributor BayView Entertainment announces that tickets have gone on sale for the Halloween season theatrical film release One Eye Open, an independent movie opening October 16 that combines a home invasion thriller with a supernatural horror-chiller.

In the film, a recent college graduate house-sitting for her ailing grandfather finds herself caught in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with thieves who become haunted by something supernatural protecting her in the mysterious mansion.

One Eye Open stars RJ Mitte ("Walt" from Breaking Bad), Maximiliano Hernandez ("Agent Jasper Stillwell" from Avengers: Endgame) Chris Bylsma ("Pastor Garrett Moore" in Godless), and in her first feature film role, Kushi Beauchamp.

Wowing both audiences and critics alike, One Eye Open screened and competed at 14 festivals where it won 11 top awards, including "Best Paranormal Film" at the World Film Festival in Cannes, "Best Original Score" at the Los Angeles Crime and Horror Film Festival, and "Most Technically Excellent" honors at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival.

Advance critical raves include Scene Stealers' Warren Cantrell proclaiming, "The movie wastes little time cranking up the suspense, and never lets its foot off the gas," while Craig Lucas of Pop Horror declares it "Definitely surprised me… after the opening credits, all hell instantly breaks loose." "My story circles around the theme of vulnerability," explains Coffey. "I got to thinking about the everyday situations we can mindlessly put ourselves into that could end up being scary because we then become vulnerable to harm. We need to watch our vulnerability."

The film features one of the final film performances from Mitte, who passed shortly before release.
