Born in Iran and later relocating to New York following the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Pourbaba grew up surrounded by Persian literature, art, and cultural traditions. These influences continue to shape her artistic expression, combining classical Persian inspiration with contemporary philosophical and spiritual reflection.

Beyond poetry, Pourbaba is a painter, pianist, composer, and the founder of CosmoFunnel, an international online creative community connecting poets, writers, artists, and creators from around the world.
