Lovecraft in Florida is a new documentary about the old gent's lengthy visits to the sunshine state.  He spent about six months of the last years of his life in Florida and beyond his home state of Rhode Island and two years spent in New York, I believe that Lovecraft spent more of his adult life in Florida than any other state.  In August of 2024 I drove across Florida to the fabled Barlow house in DeLand that Lovecraft visited at length twice during 1934 and 35.  You will see for the first time in a documentary, footage of the house and property as it stands today.  Then we move onto the oldest continuously occupied city in north america:  St. Augustine, where they will celebrate the citiy's 500th anniversary in 2065.  Lovecraft fell in love with St. Augustine and the incredible Spanish architecture including one of his favorite places...El Castillo de San Marcos.  We follow his adventures in voluminous letters he wrote to friends like Robert E. Howard, Robert Barlow, August Derleth, and many others.
