Red Oak Grants $105,000 to East Bay Nonprofits and Matches Additional $5,000
EntSun News/10964281
OAKLAND, Calif. - EntSun -- Red Oak Realty is thrilled to announce the distribution of $105,000 in funds to local charitable organizations through its nonprofit, the Red Oak Opportunity Foundation (ROOF).* As the largest independent real estate brokerage in the San Francisco East Bay, Red Oak has granted over $1.5M to local East Bay nonprofits since ROOF's inception 35 years ago.
Red Oak agents and staff discussed the most pressing issues facing the East Bay and, after extensive deliberation, distributed the funds to 13 nonprofit organizations that may not receive significant funding from larger sources. They serve the unhoused, at-risk youth, and women and children in need, supporting educational programs, the environment, training for the unemployed, and more.
The funds were raised in 2021 through contributions from Red Oak agents and donations, and 100 percent of contributions go directly to nonprofits.
What's more, through November, Red Oak will match up to $5,000 in donations to ROOF. All contributions are tax-deductible. To make a contribution, please visit www.redoak-roof.org.
Vanessa Bergmark, CEO of Red Oak Realty, said, "ROOF is a way for agents, staff, clients, friends and family to give back to the East Bay. There are many issues facing our local communities, and we wanted to help make a difference in people's lives." ROOF invites you to learn more and encourages you to help support their missions. Funds were distributed to the following nonprofits:
YES Nature to Neighborhoods offers numerous programs for people of all ages with a mission to nurture leaders who champion the well-being of their communities.
