MEMPHIS, Tenn. - EntSun -- Blue Heart Records is pleased to announce the signing of singer-songwriter and guitarist Mike Guldin. A two-time participant in the International Blues Challenge and mainstay of the greater Bucks County, PA blues scene for more than four decades, Guldin will release his fourth album on March 18, 2022.
Tumblin', aptly named after Guldin's band, Rollin' and Tumblin', is a collection of 13 diverse originals penned by Guldin and project partner Mike Sharrow. Prominent metro Philadelphia area musicians Mikey Jr., Roger Girke, Will Hodgson, Craig Thatcher, and Kevin Vannoy also add their talents as cowriters. Having enjoyed the rocking blues of Guldin and his band live in performance, Blue Heart Records partner Sallie Bengtson says, "We look forward to sharing this new music from one of our region's best kept secrets with the worldwide blues community."
Mike Guldin says, "My partner, Bill Sharrow, and I started working on this album at the height of the pandemic with no preconceived notions of genre rules or limitations. At the beginning it was a remote recording effort which morphed into a much more collaborative process both in terms of the writing of this material as well as the performance of the recordings. I'm very proud of the collaborations that we nurtured in this project and eager to share the joy of this album. I am really excited to be signing with Blue Heart Records and look forward to working with the label team."
