Black Female Singer Is Storming Back After Near Fatal Accident
EntSun News/10810069
Terretta Storm sings, "You Can't Keep A Good Strong Woman Down" in her most recent song release as she continues to recover after being struck by a car last year.
WILMINGTON, Del. - EntSun -- On June 14th, 2019, the independent music world held its collective breath as news of Terretta Storm's near-fatal accident was announced on Social Media. Just days after shooting the rock/funk video "Take Me Home", Terretta was critically injured with head trauma, a broken leg and facial fractures after being struck by a car while crossing the street. The accident occurred during Wilmington's St. Anthony's Italian Festival resulting in months of hospitalization and ongoing rehabilitation for the young artist. But what could have been a tragic story has become a source of inspiration for her local community as Terretta battles back.

Days after the accident, Terretta's manager Kenneth Hawkes, stated, "Essentially she died twice and they had to revive her. We hope she can get better and this will be a comeback story that will inspire." Recently Terretta was released from the hospital and is making continued progress. "She can speak and communicate," says Hawkes, "She gets very excited when we talk about her music."
For those not familiar with Terretta Howard's, (Terretta Storm's), unique brand of music, she is a true artist with a vibrant air and the ability to blend rock, funk, and R&B into compositions that span age, race, and gender. Her latest release, "Take Me Home", by Missouri based label White Lion Audio is trending on major streaming platforms and being well received by radio and press outlets worldwide. "All proceeds will go to Terretta's medical bills," says label CEO Marcellus Atkins. "There are more important things in this life than money. I know she is working hard to recover and I just hope we can help." Ironically, one of the main lyrics of the song is, "You can't keep a good strong woman down," which is a perfect motto as this music warrior fights back.

Her current bassist, Randy Waters, first saw Terretta Storm perform two years ago when he and another act opened for them. He was immediately drawn to her unique style and within a year, was in her band.
"I was blown away because she was a black female and I expected her to do an R&B or funk thing, but I was pleasantly surprised that she was doing something totally different — rock," Waters says. "She's really strong-willed, but also modest, which I love. She's just so lovable and that's why there's been such an outpouring for her."
"Take Me Home" is available on all music platforms such as iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and Spotify.
