Activist, Artist, and Entrepreneur Jonathan Lykes Presents The Black Joy Experience Virtual Concert

ATLANTA - EntSun -- The Meme Agency welcomes consultant, political and social activist, artist, and entrepreneur Jonathan Lykes. Jonathan is the founder and creator of the Liberation House which includes the Black Joy Experience, the House Ballroom Community Movement, and building sites of liberation across the world for people to joyfully live out their self-determined lives without limitations or barriers.

On April 3rd from 7pm-9pm, Jonathan Lykes, along with other black artists, organizers, and cultural workers from across the United States will launch the Black Joy Experience Virtual Concert on Zoom and Facebook live stream. In the recent light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Black Joy Experience Concert is going live to spread a message of joy, healing, and holistic energy. The concert will build connection and healing energy through movement and organizing spaces as a mechanism to cultivate joy, love, resilience, and a commitment to envision how our cultural, political, and economic futures will forever be changed by the coronavirus pandemic. With social distancing being the new norm, Jonathan Lykes states, "I want to change the narrative. Instead of social distancing, let's be physically distant in this time for safety, but let us be more socially connected than ever before. That's the reason we wanted to do this concert."

The Liberation House (LH) seeks to create sacred spaces where queer and trans people can joyfully live out their self-determined lives without limitation or barriers. LH seeks to plant the seeds for multi-generational liberation efforts, through confronting systemic oppression by building power, organizing ballroom styled direct actions, and connecting the House Ballroom scene and the broader black and brown LGBTQ+ community to a global freedom movement. Liberation House will build global safe houses and cultural production sites for political education and advocacy through radical love by prioritizing healing justice, protecting safe and sacred space, and intentionally lifting up the self-care and self-determination.
