Western Fans Going Wild For The Wild Bunch Film Fest Oct 4/6

WILLCOX, Ariz. - EntSun -- The 4th Annual Int'l Wild Bunch Film Festival is for the western genre. It will be Oct 4/6 at the Willcox Historic Theater 134 N Railroad Ave, Willcox, AZ., and hosted by emcee and Arizona film historian, Charlie LeSueur.

The film festival kicks off on Friday Oct 4th beginning at 3:00pm until 10:00pm, with the special event at 6:00pm. The film festival is in conjunction with the 68th Annual Rex Allen Days. They will have a rodeo, car show, carnival, parade and more! Rex Allen Jr., will be performing a free concert at 2:00pm on Saturday in between the Rex Allen Museum and the Willcox Historic Theater.

Saturday Oct 5th, Indie western genre film screenings all day at the Willcox Historic Theater (134 N Railroad) from 11:30am to 10:00pm. Meet celebrity Darby Hinton! Best know for playing Israel Boone on The Daniel Boone Show which ran for 6 seasons and had a Thursday night viewing audience of 30 million by it's 4th season. Darby has two of his films that will be screening, "Wild Faith" and "Bill Tilghman and the Outlaws".

Sunday Oct 6th: Indie western genre film screenings all day at the Willcox Historic Theater (134 N Railroad) from 10am to 8:30pm.

The Award Show will begin at 9:00pm and will be hosted by Charlie LeSueur. The award show co-host is Bobbi Jeen Olson of Western Trading Post TV, on the Cowboy Channel.

John Carter Cash will be attending the festival, with family and friends. In 1991 he wrote "Dragon Song". Years later, the song and depth of its meaning, led him to produce a short film of the same title and it will be screening at this film festival. The film stars John Carter Cash, Eric Hamilton, Joseph Cash, Ana Cristina Cash and Jamey Johnson as The Reverend William Miller. John Carter Cash is the only son from the marriage of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.

"We have a great selection of films and screenplay finalists this year," said festival director Rock Whitehead.

"Some of the films that were selected include such great actors as Johnny Crawford, Darby Hinton, Barry Corbin, Dominique Swain and Robert Carradine, just to name a few" he added.

The Film Festival's AFTER-PARTY is hosted by the Cattlerest RV Park and Saloon on Sunday Oct 6th from 10:30pm to 12:30am!
