Script Based on the Life of World War II Medic Anthony C. Acevedo

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - EntSun -- Turn Left Productions has reached a shopping agreement with  Rodolfo Alvarado for his screenplay, The Undesirables. The script weaves the life of World War II medic, Anthony C. Acevedo,  the first Mexican American to register as a concentration camp survivor, with the story of the forgotten soldiers of Berga an der Elster. The story also explores the United States Government's efforts to bring Nazi scientist and engineers to America following WWII.

Alvarado is an eclectic writer whose works includes fiction, non-fiction and works for the stage. He won the Dr. Tony Ryan Book Award over Tony Hillerman with his biography, The Untold Story of Joe Hernandez: The Voice of Santa Anita. He holds a Fine Arts PhD, a Masters in History, and an MFA in Playwriting.

Turn Left Production founders, Todd Crites and Jackson Nguyen, currently share producer credits on Lee Daniels' upcoming horror flick for Netflix, The Deliverance. The feature is based on the true story of the haunting of Latoya Ammons and her family in Gary, Indiana. The feature stars Andra Day, Glenn Close, Mo'Nique, Caleb McLaughlin, and Omar Epps.

Alvarado is repped by Jonathan Schwartz of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss and managed by Frank Fiore of Bridge Management, Inc.
