New Novel by Bobbi Kornblit Reveals the "Reel" Story about Hollywood Awards.
LOS ANGELES - Dec. 23, 2017 - EntSun -- Award-winning author Bobbi Kornblit penned an up-close and personal novel about Hollywood, Red Carpet Rivals. The work of fiction echoes a controversial hot topic: sexual harassment in the workplace. This book will be the #ME TOO Novel of 2018, referencing the hash tag that highlights the prevalence of sexual misconduct.
OVERVIEW:
The action in Red Carpet Rivals swirls around the glamour and chaos of the most celebrated movie awards ceremony (the fictitious Movie Constellation Awards). An estranged superstar couple, a top movie publicist, and a female marketing executive jockey for position on Hollywood's rocky road to success. Secrets are exposed about their intriguing relationships, health, harassment, and blind ambition. A funny, savvy, and sexy novel, Red Carpet Rivals gives the inside scoop about Hollywood awards and movie marketing from the 1980s to the present.
While there are plenty of plot twists and details about how movies are made and marketed, the tale of the players in the novel is paramount. Sometimes they work together and at other times they are rivals.
The chapters highlight each of the four characters. Preston "Coop" Cooper and Sirena Jackson, an estranged superstar couple, are nominated for their roles in the steamy movie based on a novel by Jack London. Francine Darten, a leading publicist for star clients, wants to handle Coop in public and in private. Charlie Wallach, an ambitious female marketing executive, hopes to shatter the management glass ceiling at Silverlake Pictures.
