PYNKTALKS Panel Discussion: The Future of Retail Businesses & Education in the Aftermath of COVID-19

EntSun News/10832125
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Find Your ID NYC organized its first virtual panel discussion with female business owners and professors for a special two-hour PYNKTALKS episode. The #PYNKPANEL included six different female panelists, all of whom are in the NY area.

FYID NYC went live on Instagram to introduce each panelist leading up to the COVID-19 Panel Discussion: Reopening Strategies for Success, which aired live on Facebook and the YouTube channel, The X Shows.

Natalie Benoit and Imani Jones moderated the panel discussion, where they were joined by Brooklyn College marketing professors LaCinna Arnold and Cindy Ngoc Pham, Ph.D. Sevim Oztimurlenk, Ph.D., a management professor at Old Westbury, also joined the virtual stage, along with three female business owners.

"COVID really pushed us forward about maybe two years. What it's doing, I think, is that it's positioning small business owners to actually take that market share when we really get back to normal because I might have never known your brand, but I know your brand now," Professor Arnold shared when discussing the role of online marketing and branding. "You can do virtual fittings and have virtual shows, so I think it [the coronavirus] forced us to pivot faster than we wanted to."

We have our customers at our fingertips with everyone having their phone in their hand," Cadore added to close the episode on a positive note. "Make sure that you reach out and engage as much. Number two, community. It's very important that you build your community because that's what's been sustaining us… they want to make sure we stay afloat."

Near the end of the panel discussion, the moderators transitioned into a Q&A portion for viewers to submit their own questions or join the broadcast live to speak directly with the panelists. The women encouraged young professionals and students to reach out for guidance if they're seeking career advice or tips.
