New 666-Page Book Examines America, Israel, Iran, the Middle East, History—and Biblical Prophecy
EntSun News/11102687
Pastor, missionary, author, and retired U.S. Navy officer James Langston challenges readers to separate prophecy from possibility and speculation in his sweeping new work, The United States, Israel, and the Middle East: What Did We Learn? What Should We Have Learned?
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - EntSun -- Author, pastor, missionary and retired U.S. Navy officer James Langston announces the release of his newest book, The United States, Israel, and the Middle East: What Did We Learn? What Should We Have Learned?
The 666-page paperback, comprising 30 chapters in eight parts, takes readers through thousands of years of history before turning directly to biblical prophecy and the questions confronting Christians today.
Beginning with Abraham and the biblical promise, Langston traces the story through ancient Persia, Jerusalem, the Holocaust, the establishment of modern Israel, America's relationship with Israel, Iran's transformation, the Palestinian question and the conflicts that have shaped the modern Middle East.
Then the book makes a deliberate transition:

Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Matthew, Thessalonians and Revelation become the foundation for examining Gog and Magog, Persia, Jerusalem, the Antichrist, economic control, Armageddon, the last days and the return of Jesus Christ.
Rather than treating every headline as prophetic fulfillment, Langston establishes three categories throughout the book:
PROPHECY — POSSIBILITY — SPECULATION
Prophecy represents what Scripture explicitly establishes. Possibility identifies interpretations that may reasonably fit Scripture but cannot be declared certain. Speculation recognizes ideas that may be interesting but go beyond what Scripture clearly reveals.
"Scripture determines fulfillment. Headlines do not," Langston writes.
The book also examines modern technology, artificial intelligence, digital identification, surveillance and economic systems while emphasizing another principle: Capability is not fulfillment.
Even the book's unusual 666-page length becomes part of its message.
"Some people may see 666 pages and hesitate," Langston said. "But I don't want anyone allowing a number to prevent them from examining the message. Jesus Christ has already conquered sin, Satan, death, hell and the grave."

Ultimately, Langston says the book is not primarily about politics, governments, wars or even prophecy.
After taking readers across centuries of history and Scripture, the journey arrives at a much more personal question:
Do you know Jesus Christ?
"The greatest question isn't how close we are to the end," Langston said. "You can understand history, study prophecy and follow every headline and still miss the most important question of eternity."
Langston is the author of more than 40 books and founder of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, a full-Gospel, interdenominational ministry he established with his wife, Cecilia. A retired U.S. Navy officer, he served 27 years before retiring in 2003. His ministry work has included outreach in Italy, the Philippines and throughout Asia.
One hundred percent of Langston's book royalties support the missionary and outreach work of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International.
The United States, Israel, and the Middle East is available now in paperback on Amazon.
