Exec Prod Rosario Dawson Presents Nana Ghana's LA WOMAN RISING A Film Celebrating The Female Voice

LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Named "One to watch" at Sundance 2018 by PEOPLE and ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY for her performance in WHITE RABBIT, first-time documentary director Nana Ghana gracefully captures the morning rituals and untold stories of struggle and success, as 50 Los Angeles women reveal what truly motivates them to wake up each morning. Executive produced and narrated in spoken word by Rosario Dawson, Ghana also produces with Chris Panizzon, whose previous credits include POLITICAL ANIMALS and WHITE RABBIT.

This all-female, intersectional feature documentary celebrates its premiere at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles, Thursday, October 17, 2019 in partnership with leading women's advocacy organizations, PLANNED PARENTHOOD LA, THE UNITED STATE OF WOMEN, and WOMEN IN FILM -- including a panel moderated by WOMEN IN FILM's Executive Director Kirstin Schaffer, featuring Rosario Dawson, Nana Ghana, and several of the film's subjects.
