EntSun News/10786070
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - EntSun -- Writer and director Anne Johnstonbrown announced today the preview date for her short film, Marilyn's Story, about a woman who goes from housewife to homeless and the events that inspired her descent. The film stars Veronica Young, Carol Damgen, John Henry, William Warren, Ken Wood, Blake Sidoti and Eddie Griego.
Marilyn's Story will be shown as the finale of the "Homeless Awareness Night," sponsored by the California State University, San Bernardino, Athletic Department. It will coincide with the CSUSB Volleyball vs. UC San Diego tournament and will feature Pauly's Project of Los Angeles, a homeless advocacy group headed by Paul Avila of Los Angeles.
Marilyn's Story is a short film based on the book, My Name's Lyman, and the highly-touted Los Angeles theatre production, LYMAN The Musical, written and directed by Anne Johnstonbrown. It's the story of one woman who, at the age of 42, suddenly finds herself on the streets. Homeless for 25 years, a tragic incident forces her to embark on a final journey, where she will confront her past and solidify her future. Every homeless person has a story. This is one of them.
