Executive produced by Martin Scorsese, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band is a confessional, cautionary, and occasionally humorous tale of Robertson's young life and the creation of one of the most enduring groups in the history of popular music, The Band. The film is a moving story of Robertson's journey, overcoming adversity and finding camaraderie alongside the four other men who would become his brothers in music. The film screens after the opening night parties at the Boulder Theater at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $95, and are now only available with festival pass at biff1.com.
After the screening of the film, there will be an in-person Q&A with Robbie Robertson, conducted by Ron Bostwick from 105.5 The Colorado Sound. The festivities continue at 10:00 pm at the BIFF Filmmaker Lounge at The Post Brewing Co. for an afterparty featuring local music artist Wendy Woo.
