Volunteers Invited to Help Care for Tacoma's Parks and Natural Areas on Green Tacoma Day, October 10

~ As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, the City of Tacoma and the Green Tacoma Partnership are gearing up for their annual event, Green Tacoma Day. On October 10, community members of all ages and abilities are invited to join in on a citywide volunteer effort to restore and support Tacoma's green spaces.

This day of service offers hands-on opportunities for volunteers to make a positive impact on their local parks, neighborhoods, and natural areas. Activities such as planting native trees and shrubs, removing weeds, and picking up litter will take place at seven different sites throughout the city.
