Trick-or-Treat Along the El Dorado Nature Center Trails During Howl-o-ween Festival, Hosted by Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine

Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The annual Howl-o-ween Festival is set to take place at the El Dorado Nature Center on Saturday, October 17th from 2 to 6 p.m. Hosted by the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM), this family-friendly event encourages attendees to embrace the Halloween spirit by dressing up in their favorite spooky costumes.

According to Mayor Rex Richardson, the Howl-o-ween Festival is just one example of how the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine strives to bring the community together and create lasting memories for residents. He also emphasized the importance of celebrating and preserving natural spaces like the El Dorado Nature Center.

Families can look forward to a variety of activities at the festival, including a trick-or-treating adventure through the nature center's trails (last entry at 5 p.m.), a visit to the animal education village where they can meet some creepy crawly critters, and spine-chilling storytelling sessions. Children can also enjoy bouncing around in the Opossum Patch bounce house while parents can indulge in face painting and arts and crafts with their little ones. Food truck items will also be available for purchase.

Fourth District Councilman Daryl Supernaw expressed his excitement for this event, stating that it is a wonderful way for families to connect with nature and celebrate the season together. The festival is presented in partnership with Friends of El Dorado Nature Center and Partners of Parks.
