State Representative Renitta Shannon Named 2022 Black Media Honors Honoree

ATLANTA - EntSun -- State Representative Renitta Shannon has been named an honoree of the 2022 Black Honors Media Organization. She will be recognized at their Women Leading Change Brunch in Atlanta, Georgia

Representative Shannon is being recognized for her endless commitment to creating a better Georgia for state citizens. She has served in the Georgia State House for the past six years and has been extremely vocal during her time in Georgia's State Capitol. During her tenure, she has been able to successfully lead the charge to expand postpartum Medicaid coverage from sixty days to 12 months and fought the overturning of votes in the 2020 election that would have kept Trump in office. She was also the only African American female candidate for the Lt. Governor Candidacy in the 2022 Georgia primary elections. She recently made headlines for her stance on the overturning of Roe V. Wade.
