Spooktacular Pet Costume Contest Goodwill hosts event for furry friends

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - EntSun -- Halloween supplies are already out in some stores. Just goes to show that it's never too soon to start planning that perfect costume – even for your pet. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (SWFL) is hosting a Halloween costume contest for pets on Saturday, October 17th at the North Cape Goodwill (2040 NE Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral).
The event begins at 11 a.m. in the parking lot outside of the store. Prizes will be awarded to the Most Creative DIY, Cutest, and the Scariest. All pets are invited to participate, but owners are required to ensure their pet is polite to the other guests.
Goodwill SWFL is encouraging shoppers to visit their local Retail and Donation Centers now to shop for Halloween costumes and supplies for kids, adults and even – pets!

Those attending are encouraged to bring a pet food donation to the Gulf Coast Humane society table and receive a cool GCHS swag bag!
"Our local Goodwill Retail and Donation Centers are getting geared up for the Halloween season," states Donatto. "Our stores already have great displays up with gently used costumes, new accessories and everything and anything to create a fun DIY costume. The fun begins!"
The event is FREE, but pets must be pre-registered to participate in the contest. Anyone wanting to be part of the event as a participant, volunteer or judge, can contact Debra Donatto, Goodwill SWFL Director of Communications and Digital Marketing at (239) 652-1613 ext. 2254 or email debradonatto@goodwillswfl.org.
