SBG Sports Software Appointed as FIA Exclusive Official Supplier of Race Control System in a Multi-Year Partnership

SOUTHWARK, U.K. - EntSun -- SBG Sports Software is delighted to announce its appointment as the Exclusive Official Supplier of "Race Control Systems" to the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile.

The multi-year partnership, which begins on 1 July 2020, will see SBG supply its circuit supervision and incident review system, RaceWatch Race Control, to the majority of major FIA-run series.

The system's applications, RaceWatchMS and RaceWatchID, will provide an integrated Marshalling, Stewarding, Video Review, Scrutineering and Race Management capability with live management of circuit action and detailed review of data, video and radio communications.

The new agreement extends the FIA's almost decade-long relationship with SBG Sports Software, with RaceWatch being used to officiate and manage races in the FIA Formula One World Championship since 2011. It has been additionally utilised in FIA Formula E and the FIA World Endurance Championship since 2015 and is also now being deployed in the FIA World Rally Championship.

Under the new partnership SBG will also join the FIA Industry Working Group leading the development of race management and safety technology for circuits worldwide.

SBG has been developing RaceWatch since 2008, providing strategy and performance analysis software to world champions Mercedes AMG Petronas Motor Sport throughout their six consecutive world titles. In recent years Renault, Alfa Romeo, Haas and Williams F1 teams have also become valued customers as well as many teams in Formula E and the World Endurance Championship, including championship winning Porsche Motorsport, Audi Sport and Toyota Motorsport, all winners of the world famous Le Mans 24-hour race over the last eight years.
