Painting with a Twist Co-Founder Named President of St. Tammany Art Association

MANDEVILLE, La. - EntSun -- Painting with a Twist co-founder, Cathy Deano, returns as President of the St. Tammany Art Association, a position she held from 2006 to 2009.

The St. Tammany Art Association, founded in 1958, began with a mission to support and grow local arts in the community. Over 60 years later, the organization still lives this mission and now has over 300 members and supporters.

The Association provides quality programing and cultural enrichment to St. Tammany, supports established and emerging artists, and produces educational arts related activities for adults and children.

With Cathy Deano now leading the charge, bigger plans are in store for the St. Tammany Art Association.

"We are reimagining the association in a way that will incorporate all of the arts, such as theater and poetry, for example, and be more of a community center for art that will engage more young people and become more inclusive of all the arts in St. Tammany Parish " says Cathy Deano.
