Nordstrom Rack to Open New Location in Hyannis, Massachusetts

SEATTLE, Oct. 1, 2024 ~ Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) has announced its plans to expand its presence in the Boston market with the opening of a new Nordstrom Rack store in Hyannis, Massachusetts in fall 2025.

The president of Nordstrom Rack, Gemma Lionello, expressed excitement about becoming a part of the Hyannis community and providing customers with a wide selection of high-quality brands at discounted prices. "We look forward to being a part of the Hyannis community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices," said Lionello. "We're excited to grow our footprint in the Boston market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience."

The 25,000-square-foot store will be located in The Landing at Hyannis, a popular shopping center that is home to well-known retailers such as Whole Foods, Panera Bread, Old Navy, and The Paper Store. The Landing at Hyannis is owned and managed by WS Development and is conveniently situated next to Barnstable Municipal Airport.

Customers can expect up to 70 percent off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor, and shoes from top brands sold at Nordstrom stores. The store will also offer core services such as online order pickup from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, as well as easy returns and alterations at select stores. Nordstrom Rack is the largest source of new customers to Nordstrom.

The addition of this new location not only expands the company's physical footprint but also its economic impact in Massachusetts. Currently, Nordstrom operates four Nordstrom stores and seven Nordstrom Rack stores in the state, providing over 900 jobs statewide.
