A Musical Message from Najah Lewis

NEW YORK - EntSun -- Find Your ID NYC's ninth volume of PYNK TALKS is out!  FYID NYC went live with musician and entrepreneur Najah Lewis Sunday night on Instagram (@findyournyc) and Facebook for a very musical episode of #PYNKTALKS. Following the show, FYID recorded its first ever after hours segment with Lewis.

Host Rebel Jones went live with the New York City singer and performer to talk about entrepreneurship, women empowerment and much more. The full-time musician performs at private events, proposals, weddings and other special gatherings. Lewis is also the CEO and founder of A Musical Message, a worldwide service where she sings personalized song renditions or creates a song for any occasion. She says she's all about music and business.

The NYC musician revealed she is releasing her full album in the near future. It's been in the works for several years, but Lewis says she's waiting for the right moment to release the completed album.

"I record music all the time because through my business I record professional songs for other people," she explained on Instagram. "I released one song from it called, 'Fly Away.'"

Lewis performed twice during the broadcasts, one of which was a song cover of Rihanna's 2012 song "Stay," into Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy." She performed the songs on Instagram live while playing her guitar. Later on the Facebook live stream, Lewis helped close out PYNKTALKS by singing a rearrangement of Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me."

"I have a musical family and I've always just gravitated towards music," Lewis shared on live during the Instagram broadcast. "I've loved it since I was a little girl… I picked up the guitar in high school, from there on I was crazy about it."

Lewis then joined Natalie Benoit in the first-ever pre-recorded PYNKTALKS after hours. The two discussed more openly about topics related to eating vegan, the coronavirus quarantine and how the music industry is changing. During all of the recordings, Lewis emphasized the importance of being true to one's self and staying positive throughout life.
