Matthew John Writes Songs of Hope and Inspiration

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - EntSun -- Independent songwriter/musician Matthew John has been seriously involved in the Philly music scene for over seven years.   In that time, he has written and released a group of treasured original songs.  The music is not the norm when it comes to the independent music released in today's music culture.  John's songs inspire and embolden his listeners with hope and the tenacity to never relinquish their dreams.

In 2017 it was time to put down his inspirational songs to tape.  After struggling to find the right studio,  music producer and engineer, he came across Glenn Barratt, an award-winning music producer and audio engineer, and owner of Morning Star Studios – a state of the art facility in East Norriton, PA.  Glenn took a major interest in John's project bringing in a full backup band and backup singer to help with the new EP.  Taking full 5 months to complete the project, "The Best of Matthew John", a stellar 4-song EP, was born.  "It was a long process", stated John, "but very positive and with a great outcome. A lot of time and money went into making this EP. I wrote, recorded, and published all of my songs".

The then-new, and ready to be released EP contained two brand new songs – "Let's Begin Again" and "Shine for Me".  Matthew also recorded, and remixed two previously tracked songs, "You are There" and "Reach for the Stars".  It was his intention to bump up the quality of their production.  This was achieved – hands down.

The songs and the full EP, including the remixes, have received, and still are receiving excellent reviews (https://musicexistence.com/blog/2019/08/14/the-best-of-matthew-john/).  Fan favorites are "Shine for Me" and "You are There."  "I am extremely proud of the EP, and all that went into the making of it", says John, "it was quite an experience and one that I will not soon forget.
