Uplight was established in Boulder in 2019 after the merger of two Colorado-based energy tech companies, Tendril and Simple Energy. In January of this year, Governor Polis celebrated one year of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Kingdom. Signed in January 2025, this MoU serves as a framework for increased collaboration between Colorado and the UK across various industries that drive growth in both economies.
