EntSun News/10821450
Columbia MD - Destiny church is pleased to serve over 2500 of our essential workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Maryland. This donation follows the church's mission and promises to serve our Howard, Prince George's, and Baltimore county community.
COLUMBIA, Md. - EntSun -- The church is set to provide freshly catered lunch to all employees of Doctors Community Hospital, Howard County General Hospital, and Northwest Hospital, hospitals working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This donation is to not only fuel the hospital team but to show appreciation for their service to the local community. Also,to invest greater in the community, we have partnered with local small business caterers to provide the meals.
"There could not be enough appreciation shown for the essential workers supporting our communities during this time of crisis. The medical professionals are at the forefront and Destiny Church is excited to show our appreciation through this small gesture. Our desire as a church is to encourage and support people through this season." Says Stephen Chandler, Senior Pastor at Destiny Church
"I've been blown away by the generosity of our church members and volunteer teams during this season; they have been generous with their financial resources and their time. As someone who left the medical field to pursue my calling in full time ministry, this project is especially important. We pray that the meals help first responders and support staff know we love them, but most importantly, God loves them." Said Candace Price, Outreach Director at Destiny Church.
