Jazz Hands for Autism Concert at UCLA Little Theater

Jazz Hands For Autism (JHFA) is celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary with a special edition of its annual holiday concert. JHFA provides music education, workforce development training, and job scouting for individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Jazz Hands for Autism presents "Going Places" A Jazz Hands Concert Series on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 2 PM to 5 PM with livestream on YouTube.
The showcase taking place at UCLA's Little Theater at Macgowan Hall, features performances from autistic musicians and local Los Angeles instrumentalists.
Performers are enrolled in the Conservatory for Neurodivergent Musicians, an initiative of the Jazz Hands Musician Academy; a program supported by the larger JHFA org which provides individualized music education and vocational training for musicians on the autism spectrum.

The 'Going Places' theme commemorates the journey of a decade of music, advocacy, and great strides for Jazz Hands for Autism as an organization.
Each performer chose and co-arranged their musical selection. Performances will feature original compositions and collaborations with fellow JHFA members in support of the the theme.
In the past ten years, JHFA has prepared hundreds of neurodivergent musicians for academic and career success, evolving its programs based on rich classroom and community based experiences with youth and adults on the autism spectrum.
Programs like the Jazz Hands Music Academy/Junior Academy prioritize musicianship, vocational training, and community engagement, impacting over 200 emerging musicians while generating $50,000 in earnings for neurodivergent musicians via sync licensing and performances.
A decade onward, the goal remains to empower artists to monetize their original works.
