While 2020 seemed like an apocalyptic nightmare or something ripped out of a tabloid magazine, the spirit of survival was ever present, as many managed to stay connected and find humor while mixing up cocktails and mocktails.
Author S.A. Monahan captures American perseverance and positivity with inspiring stories and an array of drink recipes. With ingredients from Aperol to Zucca Rabarbaro and everything in between—each chapter highlights a different spirit and shares the tales of "getting through" from people across the United States. More than 90 recipes include creative concoctions like the Antibody Martini, Lockdown Limeade, the Pink Pandemic, and Thou Shalt Not Covid Me, as well as new twists on classic cocktail favorites.
