Fit Radio Station "Hands Over the Controls" to Fitness Model Contest Winner

LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Workout fanatics with visions of becoming a professional fitness model had a chance for their big break last month.  Internet radio conglomerate, Murph Workout Radio, officially launched their Fitness Model Contest during September 2020.  Category prizes were awarded weekly throughout the month and announced over the air on Murph Workout Radio's various online music streams.

The online contest ran worldwide, as Murph reports having listeners in over 70 countries around the globe.  However, the majority of participants came from the U.S.  Twenty-one people won individual category awards during the contest with titles such as:

•         Best Smile

•         Best Photo with a Kettle Bell

•         Most Creative

•         Most Intense Workout

•         Best Overall Murph Spirit

Company Founder, Brad "Murph" Murphree, described the contest as a revolutionary twist on the traditional model contest.  "We are really just looking for people that have that certain energy that bursts right out of them….  Our listeners are not PhotoShopped.  They sweat.  They have scars.  Some are missing a few parts, and they shift it into Gear 6 anyway.  We want to see those faces and those smiles when they get down and dirty."

Murph shared some facts about the weekly category winners.  The state of Arizona had the highest number of winners with a total of four.  "Although one of the AZ accounts was actually two people.  @fitlifestyleduo on InstaGram was a couple who share an account but both were more than worthy."  The Golden State found themselves in second place with three winners from Southern California.  Kansas, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, and Virginia all produced winners as well.  But it was the State in third place for total winners that ultimately produced the Grand Prize: Florida.

After much deliberation, the Grand Prize was ultimately awarded to Miami-based fitness instructor, Leo Figueredo, of X-Core Miami.  Leo was a Week 1 category winner for "Most Intense" workout photo.  His InstaGram account, @xcore_mia, is a solid balance of Fitness, Community, and Motivation.  He will be featured prominently on the Murph Workout radio website and will also be tasked with "taking over the controls of the radio station".  Leo will have his own personal stream featured on Murph Workout radio with his favorite workout playlist.  In addition, the Grand Prize winner will be making announcements throughout the broadcast that will be set on a repeat cycle throughout the month of November.
