After contracting a bacterial infection in her teens, Kat Harrison was diagnosed with a neurological disorder called Oscillopsia. She has recovered from 14 different surgeries throughout her lifetime, experiences daily chronic migraines and chronic ear disease. Although she has struggled with these events, Kat has managed to build a career after college working for a variety of magazines and websites such as Glamour, Time Out New York Kids, Yahoo and MSN.  She also has become a chronic illness advocate on the Mighty, an online health community. Kat is currently working on her debut picture book titled Surgery on Sunday, which will publish next year.
