Wurkwel Ventures' "Creating a Better Tomorrow" Initiative Supports Big Shoulders Fund Office Transformation
CHICAGO - EntSun -- CHICAGO, Illinois - Wurkwel Ventures, LLC has completed the latest project through its Creating a Better Tomorrow initiative, bringing together the capabilities of its operating companies to support Big Shoulders Fund as the organization transitioned into its new Chicago office.
Big Shoulders Fund creates opportunities for students and strengthens school communities throughout Chicago, making the organization a natural partner for an initiative designed to put Wurkwel's workplace expertise and resources to work for organizations making a difference in their communities.
For the project, Office Furniture Center-Chicago donated a full floor of office furniture, helping furnish the organization's new workplace while extending the useful life of existing furniture assets. MAC Relocations managed the installation, coordinating the physical transformation of the space and helping Big Shoulders Fund's team get up and running quickly and seamlessly.

"One of the most rewarding parts of building Wurkwel Ventures is seeing what can happen when our companies bring their capabilities together around something bigger than business," said Mason Awtry, CEO of Wurkwel Ventures. Creating a Better Tomorrow is about taking what we do every day and putting it to work for others. Big Shoulders Fund does incredibly meaningful work in our community, and we're proud that our team could play a small part in supporting the people behind that mission."
The project also demonstrates how furniture reuse and thoughtful workplace transitions can create both community and environmental impact. By placing existing furniture into a new working environment rather than treating those assets as disposable, the project reflects Wurkwel's broader commitment to extending product life cycles and finding the highest and best use for workplace assets.
