Better Together promotes Kayla Palacios to vice president of operations
EntSun News/11020486
NAPLES, Fla. - EntSun -- Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, has promoted Kayla Palacios to vice president of operations.
In her new role, Palacios will lead operational strategy and scale Better Together's family and work programs for increased impact as the organization expands throughout the state. As a key member of the executive team, she will recruit and retain new talent and drive a results-oriented culture.
Palacios started with Better Together in September 2022 as executive director of its North Central Florida region and was promoted to Florida operations officer in 2023. Previously, she worked as an assistant principal and has 12 years of experience in education. Working closely with children who have experienced the trauma of a broken family has inspired her passion for keeping families together.
Palacios believes that one life can change the world, through the power of Jesus, and that each person is made for a purpose. It was that belief that led her to Better Together, after hearing CEO Megan Rose speak at her church about the incredible impact the organization is having on families and the community.

"Kayla's passion for our work and dedication to serving and supporting our team members has been truly inspiring" said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. "She brings immense value to our organization and is so deserving of this promotion. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the continued impact Kayla will have on the lives of Florida families."
Palacios has served on the worship and kids' ministry teams in her local church and engages in ministry serving children in the foster care system, residents in a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, and people who are in need of free dental, optical and medical care through an organization in the local community. She earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American studies and a master's degree in educational leadership, both from the University of Florida. She is currently working on her doctorate in education in Christian leadership from Liberty University.

Better Together helps parents who are going through a hard time to keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. With the help of donors and hundreds of volunteers and church communities, Better Together builds lasting support systems that help families cope with hardships – such as job loss, substance abuse, homelessness and jail time – and ensures that children are cared for in a safe home until the family can be reunited. To date, the program has served over 9,000 children and kept 98% of families together, while helping 42,000 job seekers across 22 states find employment.
