"It was maddening to realize women are fighting now for the same issues that women fought for in the 18^th and 19^th centuries. Obviously, the patriarchy knows it has failed; that is why a certain male demographic is fighting dirty to not lose control. Philly Girl simply highlights women's breakthrough achievements from the Revolutionary War to today."

Readers will be surprised at how many contributions for the greater good did not receive the recognition or remembrance they deserve. The women recognized in the book have varied professions in the fields of Entertainment, Justice, Healthcare, Philanthropy and Sports. Some were trailblazers, some protect humanity and mother earth, and others reveal women's role in history. The impressive Top 40 should be known to all: Poets from the 1700's, spies who aided George Washington, religious pioneers, brave activists who fought for personal freedom, African-American women who were first in their field, glass ceiling breakers in male-dominated professions, singer-songwriters who boldly used their voice for the public good … and many more.
