Four-time Podcast Awards winner sits down with Fairchild to discuss being "too sexy for TV," Hollywood's golden era and more
WESTLAND, Mich. - EntSun -- Weirding Way Media and production company 134 West announced today that their award-winning podcast 80s TV Ladies has reached its 100th episode, marking the milestone with a conversation with television icon Morgan Fairchild (Search for Tomorrow, Flamingo Road, Falcon Crest).
Hosted by Susan Lambert Hatem and Sharon Johnson and produced by 134 West, 80s TV Ladies is devoted to the beloved, female-driven TV shows of the 80s, with nods to the 70s and 90s.
In the milestone episode, "Morgan Fairchild: Too Sexy for TV, Pee-Wee Herman and Hollywood's Golden Era," Fairchild reflects on how television has changed, her path from Texas to New York to Hollywood, being deemed "too sexy for TV," a storyline fight on Falcon Crest, the making of the Pee-wee Herman movie, and her friendships from Hollywood's golden era, along with her activism.

"Reaching 100 episodes still feels a little unreal," said Susan Lambert Hatem, co-host of 80s TV Ladies. "Sharon and I started this because we loved these shows and wanted to know who was really behind them. That so many of the people who made and starred in them have trusted us with their stories, and that listeners keep coming back for more, means the world to us."
Each episode of 80s TV Ladies breaks down how classic shows got made, how they were influenced by the times, and how they in turn influenced the pop-culture trends that followed. The show also examines the "two steps forward, one step back" lens of media-driven feminism.
Over 100 episodes, the podcast has welcomed a remarkable roster of guests, including Tyne Daly, Sharon Gless and producer Barney Rosenzweig (Cagney & Lacey); Stephanie Zimbalist (Remington Steele); Bruce Boxleitner (Scarecrow and Mrs. King); Linda Bloodworth-Thomason (Designing Women); Stefanie Powers (Hart to Hart); Adrienne Barbeau (Maude, Fantasy Island); Heather Thomas (The Fall Guy); Glenn Gordon Caron (Moonlighting); and Jane Espenson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
