My record, my current priorities, and the work I still intend to finish for Maricopa
MARICOPA, Ariz. - EntSun -- People often say elected officials only show up during campaigns and don't explain what they've done. So here's a clear, shorter look at my record, priorities, and goals for Maricopa.
I didn't run for a title—I ran to do the work, ask tough questions, and focus on issues that affect residents daily.
Transportation and SR 347
SR 347 has long been a major concern. I've worked at every level to move it forward, helping secure over $300 million for improvements. Widening and intersection upgrades are underway, but one road isn't enough. We need better traffic flow, safer crossings, and additional routes like the Green Road Loop and connections to I-10.
Fiscal Responsibility
I've supported balanced budgets and lowering the property tax rate while maintaining essential services. I backed the transportation sales tax to fund critical projects like SR 347, with food exempt and much revenue coming from non-residents. Every tax should be transparent and accountable.

Public Safety
As the city grows, so must police and fire services. I've supported increased staffing and resources. I also believe in oversight—especially with tools like Flock cameras—to ensure privacy and accountability.
Growth and Development
Growth must be balanced. I don't support more large apartment projects right now—we need jobs, services, and ownership opportunities. I oppose large-scale development south of the city without infrastructure and reject data center projects that could harm quality of life.
Jobs and Economy
We need more local jobs. I support developing the industrial triangle, attracting employers, and helping small businesses grow by reducing barriers and costs.
Education and Youth
Strong schools and career training matter. I support programs like CAVIT and youth initiatives that prepare students for real careers and provide opportunities beyond a four-year degree.

Community and Quality of Life
I've supported nonprofits, youth programs, and projects like Open Arms Vocational Living Center for foster youth. A city should be more than roads—it should be a community.
Transparency
I stay accessible, answer questions, and disclose conflicts when necessary. Transparency should always come first.
Current Focus
I'm working to complete SR 347 improvements, expand alternate routes, attract jobs, strengthen public safety, and ensure responsible growth.
Goals Ahead
I want better roads, more jobs, stronger services, continued tax responsibility, and growth that matches infrastructure.
Why I Serve
I'm not perfect, but I show up, do the work, and stand behind my record. Maricopa deserves leadership that understands the issues and fights for its future—and that's what I will continue to do.
