EntSun News/10655744
STERLING, Mass. - April 20, 2016 - EntSun -- Join us on April 30, 2016 for an inspiring and highly entertaining evening of music with incomparable Cheryl Wheeler, and special guests, Lori Diamond & Fred Abatelli! This unforgettable event will take place at First Church in Sterling, 5 Meetinghouse Hill Road, Sterling, Massachusetts. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the show, and can be purchased online at www.wachusettmusic.net. Showtime is 7:00PM. See below for performer details.
CHERYL WHEELER: If your idea of a folk singer/songwriter concert is a bunch of people clapping politely after songs, and then sitting quietly while the performer says things like "This next song is about ...," well, you've never seen a Cheryl Wheeler concert before!
Cheryl Wheeler has to be seen to be appreciated. Nothing you read and nothing you hear from her albums prepares you for how good a performer she is. She is very respected as a songwriter by her peers, which can be seen by how many of them record her songs. Cheryl's songs have been covered by artists as diverse as Dan Seals, Peter Paul and Mary, Kenny Loggins, Garth Brooks, Suzy Boggus, Melanie, Bette Midler, Maura O'Connell, Sylvia, Kathy Mattea, and Holly Near.

From her albums you can tell that she is a gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice. From other people's comments about her you can learn that she is a natural story teller with a fantastic sense of humor. But until you see her in person, you never really believe what you've been told about her.
Cheryl's concerts are more like what you would find at a comedy club than expect to find at a folk music concert. She will tell a story that has you rolling in the aisles, and then sing a song that leaves you wiping tears from your eyes. She will talk about some serious current event, and then sing a song that will have you howling with laughter. Her entire concert is an emotional roller coaster. (Bio from www.cherylwheeler.com)
Lori Diamond & Fred Abatelli: Lori is an award winning songwriter (finalist, Great American Songwriting Contest 2010, Best Female Vocalist, Pulse Magazine 2011, 2012), combining alluring, soulful vocals and seasoned piano playing with Fred Abatelli's (Best Male Vocalist, Pulse Magazine 2015) solid bass and guitar. Lori & Fred's newest CD, "Lifted" was recently named "Best CD of 2015" by Pulse Magazine. Fans of Norah Jones, Sarah McLachlan and Joni Mitchell will quickly become fans of Lori & Fred as they explore Jazz, Acoustic, Folk, Pop, Gospel and blues with their own fresh style. If you appreciate meaningful music with eloquence, substance and style then look no further! (Bio from http://www.LDFAmusic.com)
