Vietnam Veteran Was Overpaying $26 a Month—Now He's Asking Americans to Help Other Vets
EntSun News/11101611
Senior Vet Discounts founder Bruce Goldwell asks readers to take one simple action: share the free resource with Veterans, Seniors, local groups and businesses so others can discover savings before they pay.
KISSIMMEE, Fla. - EntSun -- Vietnam Veteran Bruce Goldwell recently discovered something that stopped him in his tracks:
He had been overpaying his cell phone bill by $26 every month.
His provider offered a Veteran discount. Goldwell qualified for it. He simply didn't know it was available.
After applying, his bill dropped by $26 a month—almost $300 a year.
That experience helped inspire Senior Vet Discounts, a growing resource designed to help Veterans and Seniors find discounts and special offers before they pay.
But Goldwell now has another request—and this one is for anyone reading this story.
"Since you're reading this, something must have caught your attention," Goldwell said. "I'm guessing for many of you it was the word VETERAN. If it was, I'm asking you to do one small thing for me—and for other Veterans."

Share Senior Vet Discounts.
Post it to Facebook. Share it with your social groups. Send it to a Veteran friend. Give the free printable flyer to an American Legion, VFW, Veteran organization or Senior group. Tell a local business that supports Veterans and Seniors.
One share costs nothing—but it could save someone money for years.
"If someone had told me about my phone discount earlier, I could have saved hundreds of dollars," Goldwell said. "How many other Veterans and Seniors are paying more simply because nobody told them?"
Senior Vet Discounts helps users discover savings involving restaurants, stores, attractions, travel, phone services and participating businesses.
Goldwell's goal is now to let Veterans and Seniors help build the network themselves.
"Together, we can help Veterans and Seniors keep more of the money and benefits they've earned. You may never know who your share helps—and that's okay. Just knowing you helped is enough."
