The Projection Booth Celebrates A Decade of Film Discussion

DETROIT - EntSun -- The Projection Booth Podcast -- www.projectionboothpodcast.com -- which celebrates cinema in all its many forms, has reached its landmark tenth year of providing consistently entertaining and insightful shows.  From its initial episode in March, 2011, the show has hosted myriad interviews with Hollywood luminaries, independent filmmakers, and lauded scholars in order to provide a film podcast unlike no other.

"I never dreamed that I would still be doing this when Justin Bozung and I started this as a bit of a lark," said host Mike White.  "That central tenet of how we would do the show and the commitment to quality was there, right out of the gate, it's just amazing that it's still going on and how many people download the show every week."

The Projection Booth has consistently placed in the top twenty Film History podcast on Apple Podcasts where it remains the only fully independent podcast in the top spots. Over the years it's been recognized by Entertainment Weekly, the A/V Club, The Washington Post, IndieWire, Filmmaker Magazine, BBC.com, and other publications of note as being an absolute must for film fans.

For White it's still business as usual at the podcast: "We have episodes planned out through the end of 2021 with our usual 'Czechtember' where we look at Czech New Wave films, 'Noirvember' where we look at films noir, and we're also spending a few months looking at science fiction and African films.  I'm constantly striving to further my own cinematic education and seeking to share the journey with the audience."
