The Embry twins of Getting Back to Nature embark on Fall speaking engagements & workshops!

LEXINGTON, Ky. - EntSun -- The Embry twins, Obiora and Irucka Ajani, of Getting Back to Nature are embarking on their Fall speaking engagements & workshop presentations! The brothers, as they have been affectionately called by loved ones, both have Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  However, they were raised within a close-knit family who encouraged and taught them to use their left & right brains. Thus, although they have engineering degrees they can and do speak about a variety of topics and ideas that go well beyond their degrees.

The first stop is Death Farm Permaculture in Chickamauga, Georgia, where they will be conducting a free workshop on the synergy of Soil & Seeds on Saturday, 17 October—the day after World Food Day. They will be talking about the sacred relationship of Soil & Seeds using their experiences at Getting Back to Nature as a guide.  This will be done through a multi-faceted lens that will include poetry, visual aides, hands-on demonstrations, an interactive lecture, and more.  During this workshop we will also share information from our first collaborative book, Tuning to the Soil-ed Seed Vibrations For Our Collective Health.  Advanced registration is required.

Our next stop is the Fourth Annual Heritage Food Festival at Terrapin Hill Farm in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. At the debut Heritage Food Festival, the brothers were featured in the Winchester Sun article entitled Heritage Food Festival showcases climate-smart food preparation. This year they will be conducting a Fall fermentation workshop on Saturday, 7 November, to make a Red & Green Cabbage Sauerkraut with Fall flora.  Followed by a brief talk on Sunday, 8 November connecting Soil & Seeds during the Festival's Seed Swap.  This is not a free event but you can either purchase a weekend or day pass.  Advanced registration is required.

Their last planned stop for the year is the 16^th Annual Tennessee Local Food Summit at Tennessee State University's (TSU) Avon Williams Campus in Nashville, Tennessee. They will be doing a Late Fall fermentation workshop on Friday, December 4.  This also is not a free event, however, a limited number of scholarships are available and an early bird discount expires on 6 November. Advanced registration is required.
