Why should movie fans attend this major new cultural event? Festival Founder Donald M. Ephraim says it will "bring highly anticipated, critically acclaimed, and thought-provoking films to Palm Beach County, alongside exclusive events with actors and directors, offering something to appeal to every community and demographic. We look forward to featuring the work of both emerging and established filmmakers worldwide, a high-quality mix of independent films with broad appeal, timely documentaries, and short films."
In addition to American, British, French, and Israeli movies, the upcoming festival will showcase a global array of audience-wowing and mind-expanding films from Canada, Austria, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kurdistan, New Zealand, Bolivia, Uruguay, Mexico, and more
The Opening Night Film, Two Tickets to Greece, is a happy relationship comedy from France directed by Marc Fitoussi. This fun feature film, also known as Les Cyclades, follows the recently divorced Blandine, who is struggling to get back to her life. She reconnects with her former best friend, the loud and fearless Magalie, who imposes herself on a trip they dreamed of as teenagers: Amorgos, the beautiful location where The Big Blue was shot. When they reach their destination, they realize the dreamy vacation doesn't go as planned since they both now have a very different approach to vacation... and life! Director Marc Fitoussi will attend the Opening Night screening as a Special Guest of The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Film Festival. The movie's USA Premiere will be held at the Kravis Center Cohen Pavilion.
