Sun Devil Football Watch Party Brings Game-Day Activities, ReMix and Mesa Music Festival Together in Downtown Mesa
EntSun News/11104662
~ Arizona State University's football game against Texas Tech will be shown at a free community watch party Saturday, Oct. 17, at the ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center in downtown Mesa.
The game is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. MST and will be broadcast on the center's outdoor large-format screen at 50 N. Centennial Way. The event is open to all ages.
Organizers say the watch party will include a beer garden for guests 21 and older, a food truck and Sun Devil Athletics giveaways, including stickers, football posters and a raffle for four lower-level tickets to a remaining home game. Additional activities may be announced before the event.
The gathering is part of a season-long partnership among the MIX Center, Sun Devil Athletics, the City of Mesa and the Downtown Mesa Association to host free football broadcasts and community events downtown.

The Oct. 17 program coincides with Mesa Music Festival, which will feature live music and performances throughout downtown, and ReMix the Future 2026: Play Attention, a spatial design jam running Oct. 15-18 at the MIX Center.
Two free ReMix public experiences are planned for Saturday. James Sypherd, a GAME faculty associate and staff member of ASU's Endless Games and Learning Lab, will demonstrate how motion-capture technology can record martial arts movement and translate it into digital environments.
Sparrow Dineen, an MFA candidate in ASU's theatre program, will lead an introduction to live-action role-playing, with beginner-friendly interactive scenarios. That experience is also scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The watch party and ReMix public programming are free and open to the public. Organizers say game times and programming are subject to change, with updates available through ASU Events and the Downtown Mesa Association.
