Medro outlines financing and transaction considerations for business owners and real estate sponsors facing financial pressure.

MIAMI - EntSun -- MIAMI, FL — Medro Advisors is highlighting the importance of early capital-structure reviews following new data showing an increase in small-business bankruptcy filings under Subchapter V.

Epiq AACER reported on October 8 that small-business bankruptcy filings seeking Subchapter V treatment within Chapter 11 increased 46% during January–September 2026, reaching 2,442 compared with 1,672 in the same period of 2025. Commercial Chapter 11 filings rose 11%, to 6,560 from 5,895. These are national filing statistics; they do not establish the cause or financing prospects of an individual business.

Financial pressure can reflect debt terms, operating problems or both. A useful review begins with current cash flow, available liquidity, outstanding obligations, collateral and the time remaining before important deadlines.

Medro's initial conversation identifies the client's needs and the appropriate specialized brand. Its affiliated businesses include Fast Commercial Capital for commercial real estate capital advisory; Fasty Funding for business financing; Alianza Partners for business acquisitions, sales and ownership transitions; Amable Properties for property acquisitions; and America's Loan Source for non-owner-occupied residential investment-property financing.

Depending on the facts, discussions may address refinancing, recapitalization, bridge or rescue capital, construction-completion needs, lender negotiations or an ownership transaction. Financing is provided by capital partners, subject to underwriting and eligibility. Additional borrowing may be unsuitable when underlying operations cannot support the resulting obligations.

Owners and sponsors can prepare a current debt schedule, recent financial statements, relevant lender correspondence, a proposed use of capital and a documented repayment or exit strategy. Early preparation can provide more time to assess available options. Legal, tax and insolvency questions require qualified professional advice.
