EntSun News/11019567
SAVANNAH, Ga. - EntSun -- The Savannah Philharmonic is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated third annual All-Star Ensemble program, taking place this weekend. The program will feature esteemed guest conductor Timothy Verville of the Georgia Symphony, who will lead an enriching two-day workshop dedicated to nurturing the talents of over 70 high school band students from 10 schools across the Savannah region.
The All-Star Ensemble program offers a unique opportunity for young musicians to study with and perform alongside professional members of the SavPhil Orchestra. Designed to inspire and elevate musical proficiency, the weekend will focus on both small group instruction and ensemble playing, fostering collaboration and camaraderie among the students.
Participants will engage in intensive rehearsal and practice sessions on Friday evening and Saturday morning, honing their musical skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals. The culmination of their hard work will be showcased in a special concert at the Islands High School Auditorium on Saturday at 4 pm. This concert is free and open to the public, providing a platform for the community to enjoy and support the talent and dedication of these young musicians.
